In the charming 'chalet' with its wonderful views over the south, several types of local teas can be tasted.<br \/><br \/>On the Saint Aubin Sugar Estate, stroll through the magnificent garden surrounding the colonial house, visit the adjoining anthurium plantation, discover the secrets of vanilla and learn about its cultivation.<br \/><br \/>One kilometre across the sugar-cane fields and you reach the amazing lodges of Andrea, located atop a high cliff of sheer basalt rock on which the oceanic swells crash in a violent yet harmonic rhythm. A typical Mauritian lunch is served at the &laquo; Table d'hotes &raquo; followed by a walk within a nearby deer park. The final highlight is a visit of the La Vanille R&eacute;serve des Mascareignes nature park. This valley is home to a large number of regional flora and fauna including the giant tortoises and a breeding place for hundreds of crocodiles.<\/p>"}
