This spectacular international 18 hole golf course of PAR 72 and 6,498 metres long, was designed by the South African architect Peter Matkovitch, of Matkovich & Hayes, a firm of international golf course Architects and Contractors, is built on more than 100 acres of land, amidst an exceptional natural environment, where extensive landscaping has been done to offer technicality and enjoyment to all players, making each game an unforgettable experience.

Each hole can be played in a variety of ways some of which entail greater daring than others. Golfers who, because of their temperament and skill, successfully accept the challenge are rewarded.

It is certainly one of the most beautiful golf courses on the island as it lying on a naturally undulating ground and which offers a magnificent view of the green mountains on the one hand and the endless Indian Ocean on the other.
The course is fully irrigated using pop-up sprinklers and turf valves and will use up to 1500m² of water per day in dry weather.
The system is controlled by a central computer linked to a weather station. Features that have required particular attention include making the optimum use of the two watercourses that traverse the golf course and integrating the existing stone chateau of Bel Ombre and its formal garden into the golf course.
